Calhoun County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Information on this site or returned by a linked third-party tool must not be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or any other FCRA-covered purpose.
Accuracy and Changing Records
Government offices can revise details without notice, and online rosters or locators may update after a custody event. Calhoun County Released Inmates does not guarantee that a name, status, date, address, phone number, office hour, fee, or other detail is complete, current, or free from error. A person missing from the current roster may have been released, transferred, or missed by the search. Verify with the source before traveling to a facility, relying on a custody status, or sending money.
For example, the Calhoun P2C page is a current-inmate route, while MDOC OTIS covers the state corrections population defined by MDOC. Each system has different scope and update limits.
No Legal Advice
Nothing on Calhoun County Released Inmates is legal advice or forms an attorney-client relationship. General descriptions of Michigan FOIA, court records, release orders, parole, probation, or other procedures cannot replace advice from a lawyer licensed for the issue and jurisdiction involved.
Independent Search Providers
Some pages contain search boxes operated by third parties. Calhoun County Released Inmates does not control their databases, matching methods, result quality, price, terms, advertising, or treatment of information submitted to them. A visitor should review the provider’s terms and privacy notice before entering a query or purchasing a service.
Links to Outside Sources
Outbound links may lead to the Calhoun County Sheriff jail page, release-record offices, MDOC, Michigan courts, federal locators, legal resources, or private services. Those destinations are separate from this site. Their owners control their content, accuracy, security, accessibility, and availability, and a link does not create responsibility for or endorsement of the destination.
Official Records Stay With Agencies
No jail roster, release record, inmate file, court record, parole file, or government database is hosted by Calhoun County Released Inmates. The site only points toward offices and locators that may hold or display those materials. County release documents must come from the Calhoun County Sheriff or Records Division. State corrections records come from MDOC, court files come from the clerk, and federal or ICE records come from the responsible federal agency.
To confirm current custody or obtain a certified or archival record, contact the office that created or maintains it. Calhoun County publishes its FOIA process and record-routing rules. Michigan FOIA, MCL 15.231 through 15.246, applies to qualifying existing records of covered Michigan public bodies, subject to exemptions. Michigan courts are outside FOIA and use court rules and clerk processes instead.
